I bought a sweetener called Truvia, which is a stevia derivative. I should have googled erythritol (first ingredient) before I bought it but I didn't so I have an opened container of the stuff. I also googled because it tasted too good to be true. And it is.
I did find that it can be used as an insecticide. My garden is full of ants and I think they are demolishing my seeds as I am on my second planting (hoping I get sprouts) as the first batch didn't take. Would you sprinkle this sweetener between the rows to make take care of some of the ants? I have no other use for it. I only use compost in my garden and wouldn't add anything else otherwise but when I went to put my seeds in, again, there were ants and eggs everywhere.
