I would like to start growing orchids as a hobby and would appreciate getting some general advise. I am in Tampa, FL, so I guess its a good environment to grow some orchids inside and outside. Please recommend some basic books, websites, species to get me started. I am mostly interested on miniature orchids and species that I could grow inside and in my screened porch (in FL called a "Lanai"). Thanks for your patience, time and help.
