My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
I have killed off my existing lawn and will reseed next week when I recieve soil test results. I have aerated, and need advise on seeding. There is still alot of dead grass, and am concerned about getting good seed to soil contact. Should I use a power rake, and broadcast seed and fertlizer,or seed with a slit seeder or do both?
You will love the power rake. If you set it low enough, and if it has flails rather than tines, you can achieve almost bare soil everywhere. You don't have to do that of course, but if you have some high spots you want to knock down the power rake will take care of them.
Plan on taking a few passes, though, and start at a higher setting, especially if you have a lot of plant material there. If you start out too deep it can bog down.
Have fun! Using the power rake is my favorite part of renovating, because it just kicks so much a$$.
