Great pond. What kind of fish do you have?

goldfish. I'm not sure of the breed. But Mamma is about 9" long and is now six years old and I have about six other goldfish.

Are you going to bring the fish in before Isaac hits? We had several postings here about fish that got lost due to flooding during hurricanes.

I lost all my fish after Katrina. Had to redo my pond.
Most of my neighbors and I are staying for Isaac. So far it seems that Isaac will be a low category 2 storm when it hits.
All the gas stations were out of gas by late last night but I was able to fill up the family cars and four gas cans in case we have to leave. Traffic to get out of New Orleans is terrible right now. A lot of people were freaked out from Katrina so they leave for any storm now. We'll be ok. If I have power after it passes I'll post an update.

Have you had a chance to access the damage yet?

I didn't lose any fish but I do have to clean out the pond. A good bit of debris got into the pond. To me it seems we did not get a lot of rain. My street didn't even flood. Maybe they were manning the pumps better this time. No damage to the house but we were without power for two days. A neighbor did lend us her generator to keep our refrig cold.

WHEW.. glad you are okay. Some of the tv reports coming out of LA were pretty scary.
