You have growth coming on your phaleanopsis from both ends! Phal roots like to wander everywhere, so they're only doing their thing.

The growth at the top of the flower spike may be either more buds and flowers or a keiki. I think only time will tell. Perhaps others may be able to tell what it is exactly.

Is the orchid going in a good direction? The buds look suspcious to me since theres two right next to each other. I took a picture from another angle although i think the quality is worse. darn you ipod.

The leaves have turned to a shiny light green almost yellow. Good right? =)

The second "bud" on top of the flower may be a continuation of the flower spike so that you might get more flowers but i tell experienced growers to cut those flower spikes off at the base to give the plant to grow a completely new flower spike.

Growing a new root is a big plus, shows that culture is on the right track, though i do not think yellow leaves on a phal are good. Maybe too much light. The Specialist Phal Grower's glasshouses ive been in are pretty heavily shaded.

As for repotting, maybe not, what will winter conditions be like where you have the Phal? Spring is in the air here, almost autumn there.

Well the leaves arent yellow, just a light green. Its almost autumn but we still have a few weeks. So to recap: no repotting yet and cut stem after bloom?
