Hi there,

First time posting on this site which I've found invaluable the past few years.

I was about to rip out this stuff, thinking it was a weed, then remembered that a few years ago, a friend gave me a plant which grew flowers on tall stalks, which I planted right there. Last year I hardly did any gardening due to a broken foot.

I've looked online. Hollyhock or weed?
