I use tomatoe miracle grow just dispensed threw the normal miracle grow appliance that is fastened to the end of my hose. I only put in a quarter to half of a bag and then am able to water 800 or so plants.

I love Dyna-Gro products and liquid seaweed. The seaweed is used a tablespoon to a gallon once a month so it goes far. I think fish emulsion, being an animal product, burned my roots, so I don't use it.

Generally the recommended fertilizing regime is weekly, weakly, which means a weak solution once a week, and every fourth week or so a good flushing of plain water to remove salt build-up.

Foliar feeding is not generally recommended, and three times a week is a bit too often. Also, it is recommended that spraying the underside of the leaves would be best.

Thanks kind folks-- I'll find some of the liquid seaweed also the Dyna-gro, or Grow-More, I've never seen Miracle Gro tomato fert., but do have regular Miracle-Gro and use it on other hanging plants... the main thing I wanted to clarify was the use of the Seaweed product, and/or Kelp, guess it's the same thing... and sounds like something to order or try and find locally..my orchids are under a tree and of course get rained on and we are in our rainy-season, when we don't get rain I turn on the overhead sprinkler hooked up to City water, so they do get lots of water on the leaves, also lots of fallen leaves from the Guava tree... it takes a while for this 'learning curve' and I appreciate all the information and help....
