Broken Brassia spike advice

Hi All

Confession: I broke a spike of one of my Brassia's about 1/3 of the way from the bottom. The spike was only about a week old and about 7 inches long. Is there any chance that that spike will produce flowers or should I just cut it off completely and let the plant recoup?

Unfortunate situation. See what nature brings. Can't hurt. If it was a clean break might as well see what happens. Might get a few flowers. If nothing happens after a while cut it.

You could carefully close the wound and give it support with a tooth pick and tape. Don't feel bad. I broke off a just-about-to-open paph bud the other day. Aargh.

You could stick the spike in a vase and the flowers might open.

I had a Nice big Phal and broke the stem were the flowers grow, was not completely broken but kind off hanging. I taped it and it recovered completely after watering. Good luck!!
