Removing Pond Tint

We tinted our pond a light blue to help provide some shade for our koi right before me moved them into their new pond. We have since built them a nice little bridge/fort to hide under and would like to get rid of the tint (it limits our view of the orange fish). Anyone know how to get rid of the tint? I would prefer not to have to accomplish this with water changes as it is a 1200 gall pond. Does anyone know of a tint remover?

Besides activated carbon which is pricey, many brands of dechlorinator will remove the tint.

You do not happen to know one of those brands off hand do you?

I think they are all made of sodium thiosulfate. I just remember that some brands state on the label they remove the dyes. But I haven't read any for awhile to be 100% sure. I just use the cheapest brand now.

I had a similar problem with tannins in the same size pond. I used 1 quart of activated charcoal (~$12) wrapped in burlap stuck inside my biofilter so that the water had to flow through it. It only took a couple of days to work.
