Even with pea gravel in pots well below the edge my fish pick it out and spit it on the bottom of the pond. I would hate to think how much fun they would have with something smaller and easier to 'play' with.

What if a coon or the neighbor's dog got into your pond and dumped your plants over? When that happens there is going to be a mess no matter what. Ugg.

i use the larger size gravel,it keep the fish from digging into it.
