I live in Stockton Ca and all over the place I see a large green bush, it reminds me of monkey grass but is MUCH larger and has white blooms and some have blue blooms that grows much higher right now. It may be a bush or shrub but no one can tell me what it's called. It's used all over the place in yards, in flower beds, in the city along the highway and I'm trying despirately to find out what it's called. Please help! I'm from AL recently moved to CA and would like to know if they can be grown in the south since the weather is the same plus the humidity.

Thanks for your help
