Sterilizing Used Trays & Inserts......

Seems like a waste to discard plastic trays & inserts that have only been used one time.......... I know you're supposed to sterilize everything in a bleach solution before reusing, but how big a factor is sterilizing if the inserts have only been used once before? Does a quick rinse in very hot water qualify?
