Yes, we need to! We just bought the condo, just have not gotten a tall ladder there. If we leave it as is..when we repaint do we just paint inside the same wall color or do something else. Thanks for your input.

When you paint are you going to continue with a version of white? If so then yes, do all the walls and the upper "structure" the same. If you are thinking of a colour on the walls, then treat the "structure" as ceiling and paint it to match the ceiling (with the wall colour wrapping above and behind it). Does this make sense to you?

We wanted to paint the room a color, some beige tone and possibly the ceiling 1/4 of the wall color??? The ceiling is 15 or 16 ft high. I"m sorry, I don't understand the "wall color wrapping above and behind it".??

Let's back up a little. Maybe simpler is better anyway. I would keep to white on the structure and the wall above it as well as the little wall that has the door on it. Then change the colour at the wall to the right of the door behind the kitchen (including that wall with the door), and also at the point the wall meets the left side of the backsplash.

OR you could do the entire room except for the ceiling in one colour.

I wouldn't go 1/4 strength. Sometimes you can get a tone that you don't really like. Far better to choose your actual white and your actual wall colour and know that they go together on the paint sample.

I'm looking at the Pittsburgh Paints fan deck and I like 418-3 SOURDOUGH for the walls and 216-1 CANDLELIT BEIGE which is a nice white that goes with it. Please tell me if this is clearer!
