Now about 3/4 of the seeds have sprouted. All of the sprouted ones still haven't opened there Cotyledons. One seems to be growing the fastest, It started putting out its first pair of real leaves.

As for keeping them alive, How would i go about that?

Well, I have never grown apples, but I would just make sure they are provided plenty of good light and that they are kept moist.(not soggy!) And when they get a little bigger you can pot them up in real pots, and fertilize. When I have seed coats that stick on and don't break open (and I am not saying this is the "right" thing to do) I take a drip of water and dap it on the seed coat with my finger. I think that keeping the seed coat moist/soft allows the cotyledons to break out easier! It has worked for me on other types of seeds!

Why are you starting apples from seed, just an experiment? Every modern apple is a grafted variety or a clone of a known variety of apple. Growing from seed you have very little idea of what kind of fruit or rootstock you will have for a several year experiment. Not that experiments are bad.

Some apples make great root stock if you want standard size trees. After a year or two you can graft the apple of your choice on your "home grown" root stock. Here where we get no summer rain and must dry farm, a really aggressive root stock is a must, but not usually available on nursery grown trees. Al
