Master bath destroyed (except for bathtub and shower) last year when big amt of mold found inside the walls. Insurance refused to pay so we have been dealing with it trying to do most of it ourselves. We can't afford a designer. The bath is about 10 by 10 roughly and square. Door opens to enter and shower and bath and one window on one side of the room to left. To right it's empty now but had a corner vanity that was a connection of about 5 foot long vanities. They destroyed everything when they removed the mold. BTW - everyone buy mold insurance!! So now we have a huge area with terracotta tiles on floor that I can't replace. They are basically orange. I have to replace all the wall paper and don't have any ideas for design or color. We got an amazing gift from God - some people sold us a 7 foot wide black buffet dresser (antique) and shabby chic cream color, white sinks, and black GRANITE design beautiful counter top with attached sinks - all of it for $350. See? Truly a God thing!! So we have all these walls that I have to deal with to paint or paper. Pretty sure I have to paper as present paper looks attached to sheetrock. The window has white shutters on them.
Can anyone tell me what they would do with all this? What kind of lighting should I get? Was thinking of two mirrors over the vanity with three sconces but will need additional ceiling lights, right? What in the world should I do about wall paper - any ideas on color or design that would go with large squares of 30 year old orangish terracotta? I like color but am scared of making some expensive mistakes I won't be able to fix. The attached master has awful brown walls that I have to paint and am doing this back wards but will decorate to go with the bathroom. Our furniture is white cottage style with shutter like designs on the front of each piece. Bought prior to this house as master has a wall of windows that are covered wiht white shutters. Will take down eventually but not
