lily leaves yellow after fertilizing

A week after fertilizing w/ pond plant tabs, some of the leaves of my waterlily are yellowing, both older and newer leaves, but not all. Also, the water hyacinths are staying smaller than in previous years. Any insights on these problems? Thanks!
