All I can remember is the instructions were given about 3 years ago in an enthusiastic post about Xmas lighting in the pond. Maybe someone will get their memory tweaked with that little bit. Sandy

I donÂt know where that article is either, but I happen to be an electrical engineer so I can do LEDs, but depending on your skills you may or may not want to.

LEDs make a good choice around the pond as they run off low voltage only so they are safe around water. You can use a cheap "wall wart" to convert the power to low voltage. LEDs can get expensive at Radio Shack (incredibly overpriced), but other places like Jaemco.com or digikey.com have better prices but a huge (overwhelming) selection.

Still, single white LEDs are a buck or so a piece. And then you have to size the resistor to work with them off the particular transformer you got.

You may be better off and going to a deep discount place and getting an outdoor LED lamp for a few bucks to use as a starting place. I have one I got at the Christmas Tree Store for like $5 that has 4 reflectors with 4-5 LEDs in each, all running off 4 AA batteries.
