I can't help you with a commercial underwater camera, but here's a thread that Sherry started about underwater pictures. We had fun with this one!! Click on it, you will get to see Marty (a.k.a. Grumpus McGee)

oh yeah , I remember that. Marty and my bluegill must be distant cousins ;)

I've got some plant coverage on the pond and I want to see what's going on down there with out disturbing everything. During the winter I'd like check up everybody with out freezing.

Bonnie used to have a web page going with streaming video of her fish from a web cam. The link doesn't work any more.

I've considered a wireless cam mounted to my 4 x 4 post behind my pond to view my pond from inside on one of my
    video channels - Fred's Pond Channel !!!!

google/search for outdoor cams - may find one cheaper

I bought one a few years ago and we loved it. It was so much fun to see the fish face-on. However, it lasted less than a year. I'm hesitant to spend the money on another if the quality of that one is typical. I think I bought it from Bonnie's plants.

    hey blue eyes,
Bonnie's site says 5 year Mfr warranty. Check to see because you may still be covered.

Isn't there disposable water cameras now? I thought I have seen some..The kind that people use to take to pools and the beach. A water camera sounds like a great idea to to capture some pictures of my critters underwater. That would be a great way to see what they really look from a different view.

    michelle-
Yes, there are disposable cameras but I was hopeing to see what will be going on under the ice this winter and also have a way to check things while I am out of town.

    Hi
I put a glass window in the side of the above ground pool. Only been three months no major problems so far.lol
One problem already is there are so many plants you can't see into the water anyway lol. It faces west was so concerned about algae but use a magnetic cleaner. Works so far. gary

RexAnne, thanks. By the way, that sounds like a great idea. I hope you can get one so you can share the view with us. : )

Hummm, I suppose this isn't a real help but if you don't want to make a huge investment there is a black and white underwater camera and monitor on sale for $99.00 in the recent Harbor Freight flyer. I have seen it there several times. Better quality and color are readily available at much increased prices from other companies.
Until last year, there were several posters who delighted us with their videos of fish and frogs above and below the surface of the water. I miss seeing them. Sandy
