Capstone for Limestone Wall

We had a 4 foot limestone retaining wall put in across the back of our property with a water feature (not yet completed) in the center and a shorter 1 1/2 foot limestone wall in the front. We really messed up with the company we hired as they charged us so much more than we originally contracted for so no money left for capstone. So we have nice limestone walls (cream and yellow shades of Kansas limestone) but no caps on the columns or walls. We're pretending like this is how we wanted it but it looks really tacky and we can't believe our HOA has not written us up yet for it. I am trying to figure out if it would be possible for us to make molds and do the precast concrete capstone ourselves to save money? Has anyone done this?
