Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum...

I'm planning to install flagstone path, similar style as the example pic below, with just one stone after another, grass in between. My question is can it be installed directly into topspoil without any big problems later on? I already did a small patio of flagstone recently by dry laying and doing a proper foundation of gravel and sand but don't feel like digging etc. that much again. The path will be really short(6-7 larger pieces of stone) and mainly for just decorative purposes, it won't be stepped on much. Any help is greatly appreciated!
