I have block left over from the retaining walls and would like to build steps with them. They will be coming from the garage service door that is on the right of the picture below. There will be a 4' wide concrete service walk installed in August or September coming out of that door. It's a nasty slope so I'd like to get these steps in now so we can at least walk down it without fear of tumbling down it.

My question is do I start from the bottom or top? On the retaining wall I started from the bottom. That was a no brainer but am wondering if it would be easier to start from the top for these steps.
