For a patio area, I'm thinking of using stabilized decomposed granite, tamped down in a couple of layers with big flagstones randomly placed as stepping stones. Does anybody have any helpful info on this? I was told by one place that the flagstone will end up all over the place and I'll regret it. However, it will be a lot easier for me to do and would save some money. Any insight or better alternatives will be greatly appreciated.
