I would like to plant an 8' hedge of about 200' long to conceal an unsightly retention pond. In considering vibernum, I would like to know if anyone can address these concerns:

1) Since I'll be planting into sandy soil at the edge of the pond, do I need to be concerned about excess moisture?

2) Do I need to be concerned about water lines being affected by the root system of the vibernum?

3) About how far apart should the young plants be placed?

I would appreciate hearing others experiences, pros and/or cons, before I start this project.

Thanks.
