Hi,

I have a cup plant which is over 5 feet tall, has a rhizome root, been in the ground about 7 years.

Is there any technique for getting rid of it?

I can't dig it out, the only thing I can think of is to cover the plant with a rug, smother it.

hire a professional

Any ideas?
