Yesterday I transplanted a 4 foot euonymous. It had a tap root that was about 4" wide. I dug down as far as I could and wound up having to cut through the root with a chainsaw. I planted it and now it has a constant drip of water going to the roots. Anyone daring to place bets on whether it'll survive or not? Ha ha.
