To combat the cuke beetles we (as a LAST resort, of course) had to use a pesticide. We decided on the organic Rotenone 1%. My question is on how to apply it best. It can be used in its dry, powder form, and dusted on the plants (this is what I did), or mixed with water and sprayed on.

I've been checking the garden (almost) daily and hand picking the beetles, squash bugs and their eggs, but as the directions stated, I do need to reapply as the number of pests have again mulitplied beyond what I can get manually.

What are the pros and cons of wet vs. dry applications? The dry seemed to work OK, but it is messy, dusty and doesn't seem to cover all areas, nooks and crevices of the plants. I have a 2 gallon sprayer and wonder about using it to apply the next round.
