HI --- houssaon is right -- you have to get an architect involved because your add on might involve a whole new roof to balance the addition with the rest of the house . With this addition this may be the chance to raise the roof and have some vaulted ceilings that will make some of the rooms feel bigger.

You could probably eliminate the powder room in the mudroom by making the bathroom by the bedroom/study open to the hall instead of to the bedroom. In my house we walled off part of a room to create a mudroom by the garage entrance. That's a problem with Thinkdesignlive's idea -- the garage entrance would go right into the bedroom/study.
