This is a wonderful room! How lucky you are. From a quick peek at your Idea book, I'm thinking this could be a fantastic room for 'back-to-back' sofas! Additional chairs too of course. To plan this properly I need to have a floor plan. Can you draw one up? With measurements?

I think it's just a matter of newer transitional furniture since all the wood in the room really calls for a more traditional setup.

Thank you all so much. The entire house is stunning, but their style was a bit more traditional than ours. It's very move-in ready and all we're painting right now is our 3 month old daughter's room (she loves her pink!). We were already considering the double sitting areas, which get split by the entry way. Perhaps a low table and chairs in the back and the larger sectional couch up front nearest the tv above the fireplace.

I'll draw up a simple floorplan tomorrow and scan it in. I'm new to this site and love how easy it is to get idea help. keep em coming!

So here are some pics I took this morning now that the space is empty... i don't have exact measurements but the room is very long and rectangular, whcih is why we're leaning towards two sitting areas. We are thinking big comfy sectional upfront closest to tv then maybe 4 relaxed chairs and low table int he back half (similar to DYTECTURE's photo above). Just now sure which colors to go with. Definitely need to brighten!
