I don't know of anyone using kerosene I wonder if the fumes may be a problem if you are talking about the portable kerosene heaters. A lot of people use propane heaters

I do use a portable kerosene heater and i have had no problem with it so far..it gives off a lovely glow in the gh at night..the fumes from kerosene may bother some, but our gh is not airtight..the probelm i have seen is that kerosene is EXPENSIVE and you can use it only when necessary, propane even more so..my gh has a large pitched roof and is 10 by 12 and it takes a good deal to keep it warm..i'll be glad when its spring..
