Try gluing them in! (An old timey way to make things stay where ya put them!)

If you take either a piece of wire or zip tie, put a couple well placed bends in the wire and slip it behind the board in 1 hole and out the other and tie it on top of the little support bar under the hook. Whew- I hope that makes sense.

You are aware that pegboards come in two sizes - 1/4" and 1/8"? The 1/8" hooks will be VERY loose when inserted into pegboard with 1/4" holes.

Possible solution: If you have sufficient access to the back of the board, you can run a plastic tie through holes on either side of the hook and pull it up tight.

Another possibility: Several years ago I bought some plastic clips that fit over a vertical piece of the hook and snap into holes on either side. I haven't seen them for sale anywhere, but they're probably available somewhere.

Hot glue will work, but I prefer a small metal clip called Pegmate, which permits easy relocation of hooks. Here's a link to one merchant. The price is $9 for a pack, which, if I remember correctly is 50.
