Has anyone ever tried winter swoing seeds in their greenhouse? I am wondering if I could put flats of seeds out there and just let them start on their own like one does with cold frames?

Also I would like to pass along that the Home Depot in Watertown Ny has small propane heaters on sale for $35. They were $75. These heaters use the one pound disposable propane tanks.,but you can just attach a propane hose and run them off a 20lb refillable tank which of course would be much better.

Well I dont know if it's technically called winter sowing if it's inside the greenhouse, but that is exactly what I have done...they have gotten the extremes hot and cold...I only used a heater a few nights but that kept the temps at 40. and I have had it up to over 110 and then use a fan with the doors open.

My seedlings are all doing GREAT!!! I have just finished transplanting the first time around...so now they are all in peat pots or styrofoam cups.
