Replace plug on snow blower electric start?

I have an MTD Yard Machine 2 Stage Snow Blower and tonight for some reason, the ground prong on the electric start plug broke off. I plugged in the cord, saw a spark, removed the plug and the prong fell off. It most likely just snapped in the cold weather (no shed or garage so it stays outside).

Without buying a whole new electric start, is there a way to just replace the plug on the switch box?

Plug in a 2prong outlet adapter and use a self tapping screw on the pigtail into the nearest sheetmetal on the engine housing.

Tecumseh 120V starters service the switch kit separately. The switch for a 33328D starter: Part No: 35454: $84.95 ...since I know ya priced!
I assume that these are all much the same, but post your starter # if not. Now you know why you see AW switch boxes w/ a pigtail hanging out of them screwed to engine shrouds every so often...

There shouldn't have been a spark on the ground prong
unless there is a shorting problem.
