Hi there, I'm sure this is an elementary question for most of you but I have no clue so that's why I'm here. :)

Can you tell me what type of evergreens are growing in my yard? We bought this home last year and I'm still trying to get an inventory of all the plants and trees.

Is there a way to get these trees fuller and thicker around the bottom? Would pruning help or hurt? They don't get full sun all day, but they get as much sunlight as possible in my shady yard full of huge oaks. My dogs also weave in and out of these trees so that probably affects their fullness around the bottom.

And the last question-- Could I use these tree branches for live garlands and wreaths this Christmas? I assume yes.
