Just curious-
Is it always "leaning" to the same side when it dies, or either side?
What are the engine #'s?

I also suspect the float. However, does it do that even when the gas tank is relatively full? Also, is the float linkage loose, bent, or worn? What kind of float is it -- is it coated cork, hollow metal bulb, etc? Does it still float well, or has it somehow lost some of its buoyancy?

It does it no matter which direction it is leaning. The float is metal but I will have to take it apart to see if the linkage is loose.

I will look at the engine numbers next time I am near the tiller. I left it at a relatives house to use again in a week or two.

It seems to do it no matter how full the tank is.

I would look for a hole in the float. Just guessing i thinking the float is not floating but riding in the gas low and when you hit a hit it shuts the fuel off in either direction?????
