I discovered JB weld less than a year ago and I have used it every time I could. It is very strong and bonds very well. The only fault I have found if it is one is that it loves gravity. It will sag or run if you don't watch and control it. I think it would be perfect for your needs.

I would not have a problem with it running or sagging. It would only take a drop between the two broken pieces. Do you mix two parts like epoxy? How long does it take to cure to full strength? I hope I can mix a small quantity, just enough to fit between the two broken pieces. I may have a problem clamping it in place intil it "sets". Charles Ranheim

Yes, you mix two equal parts, as much as you will need. JB Weld also has a quick set formula out now that sets in about ten minutes and cures in about 24 hours. I find the quick set formula is easier to use and less likely to run as bad as the regular formula. Just my opinion.

J B Weld is an epoxy. Won't be as strong as the origional but it'll work fine.

Use J-B Weld not J-B Kwik. The original J-BWeld is much stronger than J-B Kwik.

I could not find the J-B quick version of JB Weld so I used the regular version. It seems to be holding quite well, even though I did not get it on as straight as I should have done. I had nothing to hold it in place well enough to keep it straight while it hardened. I'm sure my Grandson will never see the slight toe-out in the wheels.
I put a glob of what I mixed on a card to see how long it took to harden, and how strong it got. It takes a good 24 hours to reach hardness. Thanks for your suggestions on using JB Weld. I have plenty left for other projects. Charles Ranheim
