Calathea, Ginger, or something else?

17 years ago

Here are two different plants I saw at the OKC Myriad gardens. Both plants are tall and look a little like a ginger to me. But the foliage of each also reminds me of Calathea. The leaves unfurl from a very similar shape as Calathea and grow on similar stems. Does anyone know what these plants are?
