Echo Grass Trimmer GT-201 i

I bought this trimmer because of the istart (easy start) technology. What a disappointment.......lots of trouble. Sometimes it won't start, when it does, it may die while accelerating and then won't start. I took it to the local dealer........he wants $65 to look at it. I've used the trimmer for 2 seasons, only for a few hours.

I would appreciate any advice that anyone can offer.

Wow,

I am shocked.

I have a SRM210 with the i start too and it has been great for easy starting. Even my 82 year old grandfather can start it with ease. It does take a few moments to warm up but once it warms up, it runs great.

It has been a great trimmer.

Have you checked the usual stuff? Changed spark plug, changed air and fuel filter? Used fresh gas?

Put in some fresh gas and pump the primer a number of times to purge any old fuel. It worked for me on an older GT2000 that had been abandoned.
