Hi Folks,

I rarely post on this forum, but I ran across something today some of you may be interested in knowing. There's much more to this story than I'll post in the interest of brevity...and unimportant to the outcome.

A neighbor asked me to help him find a new chain for his Woodzig limb trimmer. After some searching, I discovered that the Oregon Chain company discontinued the manufacture of these 13 years ago. With that knowledge, I ruled out the major retail suppliers of such items. After some thought, I suspected I'd find my item in only one place...other than on E-Bay, etc. That would be an old, long established local hardware store. I was right!

The very first store I decided to visit today had them...3 original packages of two chains each, plus a sprocket, for $10.99 each package. The packages were all dusty, but did I complain? HA! I bought them with a smile, and got a bonus...a genuine "thank you" from the proprietor of the store.

I offer this only as a suggestion to those of you who may have been unsuccessful and frustrated in your hunt for these rare trimmer chains. Happy hunting!
