That shuts on/off the fuel. NOT the spark.

Any suggestions as to why I would get no spark after my winterization and washdown. I presume that the switch mentioed above then is a safty switch.

It's not a safety switch. it prevents the engine from running with a dead batt. and to assist in killing the engine, if shut off at high rpm's. If you have a test light, & jumper wire. Check/by pass all the safety's. till you get spark @ plug.

Hi lance, first off the problem might not be related to your mothballing it. However, odds are it is, since the converse means the module was dieing as you finished up last time you ran it, or a mouse ate a wire while it was in storage, or something like that. Check the relays, especially if its a Kohler with a 3 relay system. DO NOT wash Craftman Tractors unless yuo want to possibly deal with stuff like this. Air from ablower or compressor is a good cleaner. good luck
