Honda GX140 Summer Oil question

I recently received a 1984 Honda GX140 for free. I was curious if i could use Castrol Syntec 5w50 in this engine. I know the recommended oil for my temperatures is 10w40, but i have enough 5w50 for this engine left over and i don't want it to go to waste.

The syntec won't hurt the engine it acutally has a wider viscosity range then you currently use . I usually stay with one brand unless there is an improvement worth changing brands for . 10w-40 is the normal weight for this engine specification.
