I'm on my 3rd season with my 326 LDX and think it performs well. Runs strong and usually starts by the third pull.

It is an excellent engine, lots of power, reliable, and easy to start.

Thanks for the reply. Is the engine all metal crankcase? I heard the 323 engine have a plastic lower crankcase.

I think the engine and the crankcase are made of metal. However, the engien cradle assembly may be made of plastic. You don't hear about problems with that so I'd focus on other issues.
