Why do you have to do that the picture looks Amazing , if you want any change put a Smart Rug under the Coffee table and some Greens . why let go Money and time !

Well, I always prefer hardwood floors to tile in a living room/dining room area (kitchen too, for that matter), so my vote would be for the hardwood. The tiles are very neutral, but look a bit pink in tone (is that correct?), and they will look even more so against the white. But that is a large and expensive job, and the tiles are in good condition, so it is really a question of budget. I do think, however, that your beautiful fireplace mantel would really stand out with a wood floor and area rug in front of it.
