pressure washer(wont build up pressure)

I have a EX-CELL QUANTUM 6HP briggs and stratton pressure washer.When i start it up and it runs it has pressure for only a couple of seconds.It will not hold pressure at all i even let it run for 10 minutes and still no pressure anybody haveany ideas THANKS

Most likely the bypass is stuck. Pull the bypass valve out, clean/degunk it, lube with grease and reinstall.

Might also have a toasted pump, but the bypass sticking is more likely.
