Have you ever take off the muffler to clean. Also the spark arrestor screen.

After that, try loosen the gas cap after it stall out and try starting again to make sure pressure not building. Change the gas filter anyway.

Respond back after all these.

Okay so I got the spark arrestor and muffler off. How do I go about cleaning them, esspecially the muffler since there's no way of taking it apart to clean the inside?

The most important is the spark arrestor. Use paper towl with rubbing alcohol to wipe or old tooth brush dip a little alcohol and brush the screen. Tap the muffler gently to get the loose stuff out and use Q-tip with alcohol to clean as much as possible. Usually you can see the spark arrestor clog up. Look into the engine exhaust port to make sure no obvious carbon builtup.

Let the alcohol dry out and put it all back together and run it.

If it still stall, loosen the gas cap a little and try it to see whether it will run continuously.

Because it run good for the first 10 minutes, I don't think is spark plug, valve adjusting or gas filter problem yet. We'll see, write back and hopefully someone else have other suggestion.

Forgot to mension. While you have the plastic cover removed, clean the fins on the cylinder. I have the Mantis Honda engine, they sit low and get dusty very quick, not like my Honda GX31 trimmer where it stays clean.

If it get too dirty, engine will heat up more, even if it does not overheat, it might heat up the carburator enough to cause it to do strange things.

If all fail, change all the filters, plug and adjust the timing to cover all the easy stuff........

Then you might be in deep dodo!!!! I don't want to think about coil and carb and .......etc.

FG100 is known to have weak gear, If you get to this point and still not solving the problem, maybe it's time to think FG110 or Mantis!!!

I am having the same problem. Did these steps work or did you need to do more? If more, what?
