Check for spark after a hot cut-off.
What brand, model, age and other symptoms? Does it die quickly or sputter down to nothing?

this thing is a friends. its a canadian tire 2 years old.sorry i dont have model yet.it seems to bog down and quit.i will tell him to check spark at this time.he bought it on sale in fall and waranty was expired before he used it he said.what do you think before i go and try to fix it.info apreciated

Could be a lot of things, which I know is not much help.
Check it over for loose nuts & bolts, especially at the cyl and carb. Check the fuel lines & primer bulb for leaks. Check the fuel filter in the tank. Spray some carb cleaner into the throat of the carb. You might get lucky with these things. If it still isn't working you may try cleaning the carb internally.
