I don't know what the hell I did, but my Stihl FS55 trimmer suddenly stopped starting after 2 years. I yank and yank like a fool with no results. In the past, like clockwork, I would put the choke on - pull 3, choke off - pull 3, and it would start every single time. Never used the prime bulb. After finding it upside down in the shed I have luck at all now. The mix is months old, and I used Ryobi instead of the Stihl 2 cycle, so I will change it out, but I was wondering if you could clean a carb using the seafoam technique. Would this work:

1. Empty old mix

2. Pour a little SF in

3. Pull cord or push primer(?)

4. Let it soak 20 min

5. Fill with new Stihl synth mix with some seafoam in it (how much, and what octane should I use - 91 or 93?)

6. Fire up and rev

Would this work as good as it does in a Chevy 5.3, or do I need to consider another point? Please advise.
