We're remodeling our 1920s Crafsman bungalow and have picked out Motawi accent tiles (below, sans wood frame) for the backsplashes. We're thinking subway tiles for the field (maybe in a beige/tan) to complement, but they seem so shiny compared to the Motawi pieces. We love the look of the Motawi field tiles, but they're way out of our price range. Any suggestions?
