The transaxle itself is a single speed forward and reverse. The 1-6 sets the variable speed pulley position to change the speed. You must clutch if you want to downshift. You should determine if moving that speed lever ultimately moves the plate w/ the vs pulley. Then to know if the center in the pulley moves up and down and to determine if the belts are the correct part #s.

Well the belt is crap and needs to be replaced but Im not sure what you talking about vs the clutch is attached to a pully and moves it back and forth but the 123456 don't move anything at all the cluch slides back and forth inside of a grove in the lever till you put it in park witch holds the cluch petal down if I post pics can you help me find what you are refuring to or help you help me thanks for the quick reply

This last image is of what appears to be an idler pully and is right next to the pully on top of the tranny and it is spring loaded

Ok well I figured out wat you are talking about theres a pully that goes to eng and trans and the center is supposa move up and down but is stuck I still don't see how the shifter is supposta move it up and down after I free it please let me know

Hey the center in it is completly stuck and I can't no matter how hard a beat it get the center to move any good Ideas to unstick this thing?
