chainsaw fuel line question

I'm replacing the fuel line in a Poulan chainsaw. Is there a trick to feeding the new fuel line through the hole (in the hard plastic housing by the carb) into the gas tank? When I try to push it through, the fuel line just sort of expands and won't go anywhere. Thanks.

Cut the line at an angle of about 60 deg. This will give you a point and taper to start feeding the tubing into the tank.

The best way is to use a doubled up wire about 9" long attached to a pull handle. Put the bent wire thru the small hole and out the cap hole. Insert the last 3/8's of the hose in the pinched end (making sure the fuel filter is in the other end) and yank it thru. If the wire is thick enough the hose will not rear. I have the tool available.
