Garden hose repair

I have used those repair kits sold in all the garden centers etc. for several years and have mediocre luck at best. They either do not hold up or the hose clamp screws stick up and catch on everything they encounter.

Over the weekend, on "This old House" they were using clamps that would work perfectly but I do not know what to call them or where to find them.

They are a circular ring that goes on the hose before inserting the hose end or coupler and then after being slid up into place, they are pinched with a tool that draws them tight. I use a lot of garden hoses and these would do the job better than anything I have found so far. I have tried brass and plastic repair kits and while the brass is far superior, the clamps really get in the way.

Does anyone here either use them or know where to find them.
